Marami kang kayang gawin kaibigan

'Wag kang susukong tumuklas
Na tila isang batang musmos na sabik lumakas

Batang wala pang muwang
Batang walang kapaguran
Batang gagawin ang lahat
Maabot lang ang nais sa kawalan

Sa lahat ng bagay, pag-igihan mo lang
Hindi ka nag-iisa. Hindi ka lubusang nag-iisa
May gagabay sa'yo, maghanap ka lang
Kaibigan o pamilya, maabot mo 'yan

Marionette

Blame it on me
For I am the guilty
The one strucked by fate
Seen through misfortunate gates

Blame it on me
For I stand in the front lines
The sole actor in the crowd
The stain fetched from the ground

Blame it on me
For the red strings were detached
My
marionettist has gone
And set of eyes has been cast

Blame it on me
For the lies I believed
The pain I conceived
For it is I that hath bleed

Blame it on me
For I let myself be controlled
Placed in a trash
Left in a hole

Scream 2.0

I wanted to talk
Not through these gadgets
Not through fancy techs

I wanted to sit beside someone
Not with virtual hugs
Not with their online presence

A human incubator could bring back life
Can't we do the same here and now?
So I could still speak while I can

Yes we are now all connected
But blinded by the illusion
That within this web we intertwine

Then I'm posting this up
Very ironic as it may seem
Well, what choice do I have
No one hears this voice even if it screams

HangOver

Nauseous feeling that kept me awake for so many nights
The chills that it gave from dusk ‘til the sun shun bright
“I miss you” was the only thought I repeatedly chant
Longing for the soul that made me lose interest of what’s at hand

Darkness

Darkness attracts a community
And for some reason it stays more than it should
But was it there to glimmer?
Walking proud with hands held high?

Martyrs of the Unknown

Bonds so tight it could kill a life
Never brutal but instead, 'twas crucial
A bond rare enough to become an opportunity
Giggles around a life that sings for eternity

I Cried Wolf

Speak thy heart, speak thy mind
Still you'll be fooled and left behind
Trust someone of what they say
For I have seen and am in dismay

Regrets

Shall I compare this to a world in dismay?
What if we did
What if we did not
Whose fault is it for that broken heart

Birthright

Closeup of an infant in Jesus' hand

Mindless, stupid and carefree
How I wish I've been there to see
Merrily, merrily
You old hags never felt misery

Tahanan

We are United

This was supposed to be an entry in a contest in Symbianize which was themed "Inspired By". Well, I didn't make it in time so I'll just post it here.

This is a poem inspired by Langston Hughes from his work, "I, Too, Sing America"

Hearing your words are like treasures found
You singing songs and I’m totally bound
From your arms and eyes I could not break free
But in my heart I know, with you is where I want to be

Happiness,
Where can thou art be?
I miss the intense feeling
Where you share your laughter with me

Happiness
Where can thou art be?

What I Have Lost

MINDANAO BLEEDING-HEART DOVE

Restless nights with a stream of the past
A silenced recalling of what I’ve done
What I’ve lost, and what I’ve gain
With conclusions of what if I didn’t cause the pain

Pieces of the Puzzle

12/22/09:356/365 puzzling

Fates declares its judgement
One who cries with conscience
Let life be and see
The light that embraces me

Melancholic display of passion
Rises between our visions
Bringing down the city of silence
Awakens the hope of those who have fallen

AfterLife - An Anti-Valentines Day Presentation

Not that I hate valentine/heart's day or am I anything related to the pain expressed in this poem I wrote. This is simply a challenge given to writers at Symbianize for the month of February.

So here's the instructions given.

Write a poem about deadly love, killers, stalkers, femme fatale, cariño brutal, or anything that attacks/hates what the valentines day stands for: love. Hindi pwede ang mga pakilig-kilig dito. Pwede yung magpapa chill to the bones dahil sa fear or hate. Yung mga nasawi sa pag-ibig, both literally and figuratively eh gawan nyu ng tula yan.
Enjoy reading!

Reasons

So what reason did you come up this time?
Do you even felt happy with that?
Don't worry 'cause I'm definitely fine
Reminiscing the moments when you were mine

Kasalanan ko ba?

wanderer

Masama ba loob mo kaibigan?

Oh Gloomy October

Evening moon 02.09.2008
To end my month of October, (Well, it's better late than never...)I present to you.. "Oh Gloomy October"

Oh the anger that binds me
The hatred that continues to bother me
As I fill up this creepy biography
Is that I'm made up from you and me

I enjoy being with you
I love it when you're around
